Maryland made some revisions to its Driver Licensing System in October 2009. Some of these changes in the law are subtle so we have outlined them below to clarify any questions you might have regarding how the new and old driver licensing system laws compare.
Did you know that a 16 year old driver is ten times more likely to be involved in an automobile wreck than an adult? In fact, crash rates are higher during a teen’s first few months behind the wheel and statistics show that on average, thirty people are injured every day as a result of a young driver. Alarmingly, every three days on average, someone is killed as a result of a crash involving a young driver.
